In response to draconian algorithms used by digital distributors to monitor copyright, which has the effect of nearly banishing the right of fair use by independent artists, I decided to create work which was made entirely of samples, only reversed and sliced. This threw the censors into a state of confusion, as they clearly recognized samples but had to let them pass. Hence REVerse COPyright INFringement. If you’d like, play it in reverse to hear the original tracks, which are all excerpts from a live radio program on 91.3 KFFP-LP Freeform Portland.
