2005 Art Sucks Interviews
Part of an Installation Art Class piece. I installed a booth in the halls of the art and design building (DAAP) of the University of Cincinnati, created a website, brochure and power point presentation along with a projection of this video, wherein I interviewed several Cincinnati area artists on the subject of why art sucks (whilst unbeknownst to me, my Mini-DV recorder was slowly dying, destroying the footage and audio), so that in effect I installed an anti-art organization in the halls of an art school and tried to get people to drop out as an art installation piece. I got a B, because I refused to explain what my goals were beyond saying I thought it would be funny, and that that should be good enough motivation for art. So I made it black and white. Featuring Sam Nation, Jeremy Lesniak, Nikol Soluski, Emily Buddendeck, Holly Price, David Garza, Scott Fredette and others.
Please feel free to tag anyone I missed. And if anyone feels up to creating subtitles for it, please let me know.
2005 Art Damage Event
At the original Art Damage venue on Hamilton Avenue in Northside, Cincinnati Ohio. Not sure who else is performing, but my show evidently included a power point presentation on why people are stupid and you should be too. Shot on a 35mm Minolta film camera.
